Kratsios has also served as U.S. Chief Technology Officer and as the Pentagon’s top official for research and engineering, overseeing work on advanced military capabilities and emerging technologies. Earlier in his government career, he helped launch major national initiatives on AI, quantum computing, and 5G communications.
