While Jami takes time off from recording MURDERISH during the Holidays, we’re releasing an episode of her other podcast, Lipstick & Lies. In this episode of Lipstick & Lies, Jami walks co-host Melissa Moore through the case of Texas stage mom, Wanda Holloway. In 1989, Wanda went to great lengths to secure her daughter’s spot on the coveted junior high cheerleading team. When her daughter, Shanna Harper, DIDN’T make the cheer squad, Wanda was seething with anger. The socialite stage mom then took steps to make sure Shanna would be on the cheer team the following year. The steps she took, however, would turn many peoples’ lives upside down and end in a courtroom shocker. This is the bizarre tale of an overzealous Texas socialite and cheer mom who’d carefully planned out her life and image, and nobody was going to get in the way of that …even if it meant murder.
