When Chippendales, the world’s first all-male strip show exploded onto the scene in the late 1970s, it wasn’t just about rock-hard abs and screaming fans — it was about money, control, and the kind of ego that could, and did, kill. Because behind the glossy tearaway pants and neon lights, a toxic, lethal feud festered between the club’s founder, Somen Banerjee, and his creative partner/future victim, Nick De Noia. What culminated was a murder-for-hire plot that turned America’s sexiest male strip production into a bloodstained crime scene. Incredibly, the tragic events of this savage real-life thriller involved hired hitmen, arson, FBI stings, and a man so obsessed with control, he burned it all to the ground rather than share the stage.
