Driven by a twisted need to possess her married lover, Koshizô Ishida forever, a woman named Sada Abe strangled him, castrated him, and carried his severed genitals in her kimono—ensuring, in her mind, that he would remain hers for all eternity. Amidst the modern neon glow and ancient temples of 1936 Tokyo, Sada’s life was sadly shaped by trauma, longing, repression, and erotic obsession.  After training as a low-level geisha and meeting Koshizô, Sada became deeply infatuated, and their scandalous relationship blurred the lines between love and obsession until it spiraled into a dangerous fixation – one that drove Sada to committ a horrific act of violence in an effort to possess him forever.
